Mass Spraying of Mosquetoes in the West Mamprusi District.

The West Mamprusi district is among other districts in the Northern region to benefit from mass spraying of mosquetoes aimed at malaria prevention. The exercise is to be undertaken jointly by the Ghana Health Services and USAID. The District Director of Health Services, Dr Ali recently briefed Heads of decentralised departments and leaders of identifiable groups on the exercise in Walewale, the district capital.
As at now, persons recruited to carry out the spraying exercise are undergoing training. Every house in the district is expected to be covered excerpt public places like schools. The chemical to be used has the potency to last on the wall for six months before the next round of spraying.
